Job summary

Amazon seeks an Applied Science Manager to anchor WWOS Tech's AI transformation. You will own enterprise AI/ML strategy, lead scientists and BIEs, and deliver production ML models to improve efficiency across theft detection, investigation automation, and risk management.

You will build a centralized model registry, MLOps, and a scalable org, recruiting top talent while ensuring compliance with Amazon Trust principles and evolving AI regulations.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building large-scale ML/AI solutions at Internet scale.
• Experience distilling requirements into problem definitions and managing ambiguity.
• Experience hiring and leading scientists and developing junior members.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML Strategy & Delivery across UNITE/PRISM and WWOS products.
• Build and scale Science & BI teams with 3 BIE managers.
• Partner with field and leadership to translate business problems into AI solutions.
• Establish governance, bias detection, and responsible AI practices.
