Amazon.com Services LLC in Bellevue, WA seeks an Applied Scientist to advance operational excellence of AI models within Amazon Operations. You will own project scoping, stakeholder engagement, data enablement, model development, and production launches.

The role demands strong ownership and the ability to educate both technical and non-technical partners across Finance and Operations. You will join a team of Data Scientists, Applied Scientists, and Economists focused on data-driven decision

Qualifications

Master's degree or higher in computer science, ML, engineering or related field is required.
Proficiency in Java, C++, and Python demonstrated in projects or publications.
Experience with SQL and an RDBMS (Oracle) or data warehouse is expected.
Hands-on ML model development for business applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business problems into ML solutions.
Architect, build, and deploy production-grade models in cloud-native environments with CI/CD.
Design AI systems with explainability and automate customer workflows.
Develop evaluation frameworks to detect quality regressions before customers.
