Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Software Engineer II in Plano to join the Consumer & Community Banking agile team. You will design, develop, and troubleshoot software components for secure, scalable financial applications.

You will work with Python and ML tooling, contribute to CI/CD, and collaborate with vendors and internal teams to drive reliable delivery and AI-assisted development practices.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Hands-on experience building, deploying, and maintaining ML platforms or infrastructure.
• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks; experience with Spark, Pandas, SQL.
• Practical experience with cloud-based ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, GCP AI Platform, Azure ML).
• Experience leading effective use of AI-assisted development tools with validation standards.
• Strong understanding of secure coding, testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services IT landscape and cloud-native experience.

Responsibilities

• Executes software solutions with ability to tackle non-routine problems.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews peers' code.
• Drives enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and speed.
• Applies SDLC tools to improve automation value.
• Identifies opportunities to automate recurring issues for stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture.
• Designs and troubleshoots with awareness of upstream/downstream systems.
• Gathers and analyzes large data sets to inform decisions on secure development.
