Job summary

Vector Solutions is seeking an experienced R&D Engineer to advance our AI-powered features within the product suite. You will work as an individual contributor under the guidance of senior engineers and leadership, delivering hands-on development and thorough validation of AI-driven capabilities.

Responsibilities include building AI prototypes, integrating AI/ML APIs, preparing data, running experiments, and collaborating with QA to ensure reliability and performance before release.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML-related projects.
• Familiarity with common AI/ML frameworks or APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Ability to translate requirements from senior engineers into well-tested code.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to validate work before hand-off.
• Effective written and verbal communication for cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with version control systems (Git).
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, and refine AI-powered prototypes and features for Vector's SaaS products.
• Write and maintain application code that integrates AI/ML APIs into product workflows.
• Assist in data preparation, labeling, and pipeline tasks for training/evaluation.
• Execute experiments, document results, and summarize findings for the team.
• Collaborate with QA to test AI-driven features for accuracy and performance.
• Monitor deployed AI features and escalate issues to senior engineers.
• Contribute to internal documentation of AI workflows and guidelines.
• Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior engineers.
