Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking an AI/ML Tech Platform Manager to own a major platform area, prioritize capabilities, standards, and integrations for scalable, reliable services. You will drive developer experience, governance, and cost efficiency while balancing security and performance.

The role requires extensive leadership in AI/ML, cloud (Azure) and data platform tooling with a strong customer-focus, engaging engineering teams and stakeholders to deliver measurable value across the business.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in platform, product, or technical leadership roles.
• 6+ years working in the AI/ML space.
• 5+ years of experience with Azure.
• 5+ years of experience with Databricks.
• Strong grasp of lifecycle management and operational excellence.
• Proficiency with agile planning and outcome tracking.
• Strong communication and stakeholder partnership skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain vision and roadmap for assigned platform domains and investments.
• Advocate for stakeholder needs with customer feedback and usage signals.
• Translate stakeholder needs into platform requirements and criteria.
• Prioritize capabilities and manage cross-team tradeoffs.
• Identify improvement opportunities balancing reliability and cost.
• Monitor reliability, performance, and security; reduce risk and debt.
• Support governance and enforce platform guidelines and changes.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and provide guidance as needed.
• Provide platform owner signoff before components are done.
• Drive adoption and measure value with KPIs and stakeholder feedback.
• Communicate platform events and updates to consumers and partners.
• Report progress, risks, and decisions to leadership.
• Be available for urgent IT incidents when needed.
