CACI International Inc seeks an AI/ML SME to join the DoD program at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. The role emphasizes IV&V, model evaluation, and communicating results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, ML theory, and data science, with experience evaluating vendor and research-partner solutions. Some DoD context is required.

Competenze

• U.S. citizenship with an active Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience OR Master’s with 6+ years OR PhD with relevant expertise in AI/ML and DoD context.

Mansioni

• Collaborate with R&D teams throughout the project lifecycle from concept to transition to DoD environments.
• Evaluate AI/ML models, architectures, and products using quantitative methodologies.
• Conduct IV&V of AI-enabled systems and assess performance, reliability, robustness, security, explainability, and operational suitability.
• Generate technical reports, white papers, and recommendations on model effectiveness, risks, and improvements.
• Work with CRADAs and collaborative efforts to provide feedback on AI/ML products and solutions.
• Partner with academic researchers and industry to guide research toward mission-relevant outcomes.
• Assess emerging AI technologies for applicability to DoD mission requirements.
• Analyze AI/ML systems for safety, bias, robustness, explainability, and adversarial resilience.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data scientists, researchers, government stakeholders, and external partners.
• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical evaluations.
• Communicate findings to leadership and engineering teams clearly.

Formazione

Bachelor’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related quantitative discipline

Master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field
