Google LLC in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Silicon Hardware Emulation Engineer to help shape AI/ML hardware acceleration through custom silicon and TPU architecture. You will verify complex digital designs, contribute to emulation infrastructure, and collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams across Google Cloud.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field (required).
• 4+ years of industry experience with RTL design and simulation tools.
• Experience with coding/scripting in C, C++, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with emulation systems and verification workflows; performance improvements.
• Preferred: Master's/PhD with emphasis on computer architecture and strong RTL/simulation expertise.

Responsibilities

• Own, maintain and upgrade emulation infrastructure and act as primary interface to emulation vendors.
• Develop and optimize emulation workflows and methodologies; prototype validation.
• Assist hardware/software teams in debugging and verifying ASIC/TPU designs on emulation platforms.
• Bring up external interfaces (USB, PCIe, Ethernet) and create standalone test cases for tool issues.
