Job summary

Trulogik in Catonsville is seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer / Forward Deployed Engineer who thrives at the intersection of Engineering, AI, Healthcare, and Customer Success. You will own technical delivery for major healthcare payer customers, from problem definition through production deployment.

You will collaborate with customer business, clinical, data, and technology teams, build and integrate AI/ML solutions, rapidly prototype, and push successful approaches into production.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, ML engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python and modern AI/ML technologies.
• Experience building and deploying production-grade systems, not just prototypes.
• Ability to work across application, data, and model layers.
• Understanding of healthcare payer workflows such as claims adjudication, payment integrity, utilization management, pharmacy, or prior authorization is a plus.
• Experience with LLMs, ML systems, APIs, data pipelines, and enterprise integrations is highly valuable.

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery for major healthcare payer customers, from problem definition through production deployment.
• Work directly with customer business, clinical, data, and technology teams.
• Build and integrate AI/ML solutions, LLMs, APIs, rules, and data pipelines.
• Rapidly prototype solutions and take successful approaches into production.
• Diagnose challenges across applications, models, data, infrastructure, and integrations.
• Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, reliability, explainability, and operational usefulness.
• Develop a deep understanding of healthcare payer workflows and contribute to the product roadmap.
• Take end-to-end ownership of complex technical problems.
