Job summary

Xenith Solutions is seeking an AI/ML Engineer to join our CBP contract team, delivering agile, releasable software in short sprint cycles. You will design and implement AI/ML pilot projects, integrate with data platforms, and collaborate with cross-functional engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders.

The role requires strong full-stack skills, experience with Angular frontend and REST APIs, and the ability to work in a distributed, agile environment.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass CBP background investigation, including checks for felony convictions and misconduct.
• BA/BS and 7 years’ experience in a related field, or equivalent.
• Expertise in YAML, JSON, Python, Java, JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Full Stack development experience including Angular frontend and backend, able to manage UI to server and database.
• Ability to work with Data Scientist teams to integrate AI/ML, Big Data, or BI solutions.
• Experience with live data and video streams.
• AWS Certified Developer Associate certification is preferred.
• Experience with DevOps (CI/CD) solutions such as GitLab.
• Experience in geographically dispersed remote teams.
• Understanding of Data Science principles and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement AI/ML software solutions for pilot projects and uses cases, including Google Gemini AI.
• Develop and work with APIs, RESTful services, and authentication methods.
• Use SQL and NoSQL databases and choose appropriate type; ensure security best practices.
• Act as a prototyping team member delivering working software in short timelines.
• Participate in agile ceremonies: release planning, sprint demos, retrospectives.
