Jobtailor seeks an experienced AI/ML engineer to own orchestration frameworks and agent architecture for AI-driven workflows in a regulated environment. You will design prompts, integrate tools and APIs, and produce production-grade agents while collaborating with data science, data engineering, and governance teams.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in software or ML engineering, healthcare data experience, and proficiency with LangGraph or Pydantic AI.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field.
8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's or 7+ years with a Master's in software or ML engineering.
Experience in healthcare/pharma sector and with agentic frameworks.
Strong software engineering background, including production system design and testing.
Experience integrating LLM APIs and exposure to MLOps.

Responsibilities

Own orchestration frameworks and agent architecture for AI-based workflows.
Build and harden agentic workflows for production use.

Translate methodology into deployed, production-grade agents.
Partner with Data Engineer for clean data consumption.

Job description

Build and harden agentic workflows for production use

Translate the Senior Data Scientist's methodology and evaluation criteria into deployed, production-grade agents
Partner with the Data Engineer to ensure agents consume clean, well-structured data
Partner with the Senior Data Analyst to ensure agentic workflows meet governance, audit, and compliance requirements
Implement monitoring, evaluation, and cost controls for LLM-based systems in production
Document agent architecture, prompt design, and tool integrations for governance and audit needs
Improve workflow reliability, latency, and cost
Develop systems that are flexible and adaptive to evolving business needs
Make timely and effective engineering decisions and remove productivity barriers
Collaborate across data science, data engineering, governance, technical, and business functions

Requirements

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field
8+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree or 7+ years with a Master's degree in software or ML engineering
Experience in the healthcare/pharma sector
Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangGraph or Pydantic AI
Strong software engineering background, including production system design and testing
Experience integrating LLM APIs
Exposure to MLOps practices, including evaluation, monitoring, and cost control
Healthcare data experience preferred
Effective English verbal and written communication
Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment
Ability to drive transformational change
Ability to engage diverse technical and business stakeholders
Understanding of technology applications in the Life Science sector
Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
