Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an senior-level leader to architect and deliver enterprise AI platforms. You will guide distributed systems, embrace agentic AI, LLMs, and API-based architectures while collaborating with stakeholders to deploy scalable AI-enabled products.

The role requires 15+ years of software engineering experience, healthcare interoperability expertise, and a track record of implementing CI/CD and DevSecOps in regulated environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering or related field.
15+ years of software engineering experience.
Experience leading distributed systems and large-scale architectures.
Experience coding in Python, Java, or comparable OO languages.
Experience designing APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
Experience applying cloud, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
Experience delivering enterprise AI solutions across healthcare domains.
Expertise in agentic AI, LLMs, RAG, knowledge graphs, semantic layers, ontologies, conversational analytics, AI orchestration, and intelligent automation.
Experience defining enterprise data strategies and modern data architectures.
Experience building enterprise AI platforms and reusable capabilities.
Healthcare payer experience, including FHIR/HL7 interoperability, and regulated environments.
Ability to translate business strategy into scalable AI-enabled products and enterprise capabilities.
Recognized leadership defining enterprise architecture and driving modern AI practices.
Experience designing and operating large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native apps.
Experience implementing CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
Experience guiding complex enterprise software platforms and mentoring teams.
Experience applying AI/ML or generative AI to production software solutions.

Lead the design, development, and deployment of large-scale, production-grade AI systems and platforms
Architect and deliver scalable, resilient AI solutions using agentic systems, LLMs, distributed systems, and event-driven architectures
Define enterprise-wide technical direction, architecture patterns, integration standards, and reusable platform capabilities
Lead AI-driven modernization of legacy systems through automated code transformation, service decomposition, and continuous optimization
Design and implement AI-enabled software development lifecycle practices to improve engineering velocity and quality

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 15 years of experience in software engineering
Experience leading, designing, implementing, and operating distributed systems and large-scale architectures
Experience designing, developing, and maintaining software using Python, Java, or comparable object-oriented programming languages
Experience designing and implementing APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures
Experience applying cloud, CI/CD, and DevOps practices
Experience designing and delivering enterprise AI solutions across healthcare domains
Expertise in agentic AI, LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), knowledge graphs, semantic layers, ontologies, conversational analytics, AI orchestration, and intelligent automation
Experience defining enterprise data strategies and modern data architectures
Experience building enterprise AI platforms and reusable capabilities
Healthcare payer experience, including healthcare data, FHIR/HL7 interoperability, and regulated environments
Ability to partner with business, clinical, and technology leaders to translate business strategy into scalable AI-enabled products and enterprise capabilities
Recognized technical leadership experience defining enterprise architecture, influencing technology strategy, and driving adoption of modern AI engineering practices
Experience designing, building, and operating large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native applications
Experience implementing CI/CD and DevSecOps practices
Experience leading architecture and technical design for complex enterprise software platforms and mentoring engineering teams
Experience applying AI, machine learning, or generative AI technologies to develop production software solutions
