Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced AI software engineer to build and integrate AI-powered applications using LLM APIs and agentic architectures. You will design and implement multi-step workflows, optimize latency and accuracy, and harden systems with guardrails to reduce hallucinations in production.

You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to embed AI capabilities into existing microservices and backend platforms, leveraging vector databases and advanced prompt design.

Qualifications

Strong software engineering experience delivering production systems.
Hands-on experience building agentic applications or LLM-integrated chatbots.
Experience developing agentic applications with the Google Agent Development Kit (ADK).
Fluency in Python or another comparable backend programming language.
Proficiency with APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, etc.).
Proficiency in prompt design and evaluation (prompt engineering).

Ability to work independently in fast-paced environments
Ability to align with PMs and cross-functional engineering teams
Flexibility to iterate on solutions in response to evolving production requirements
