Micron Technology, Inc. is offering an HBM Design Architecture Internship focused on early-stage research, performance modeling, and tool development.

You will work with senior engineers to explore how AI workloads affect memory system behavior and architectural strategies. The role provides hands-on exposure to AI system trends, memory subsystem analysis, and the opportunity to contribute to simulation frameworks and trend dashboards.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• Cannot graduate before September 2027.
• Foundational understanding of computer architecture and hardware/software interaction.
• Programming experience in Python, C/C++, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Research emerging trends in compute, networking, and storage infrastructure to understand future AI workloads.
• Support HBM architecture analysis by gathering and synthesizing data related to bandwidth, latency, and memory requirements.
• Develop or refine simulation frameworks to model AI cluster performance and memory subsystem behavior.
• Build trend dashboards using CSP benchmarks and industry datasets.
• Collaborate with mentors to explore architectural intercept opportunities for next-gen AI systems.
