Job summary

Outlier is seeking detail-oriented English speakers to review AI-generated media remotely on your own schedule. You will hold live conversations with AI voice models, compare image and video pairs, and explain in writing what looked or sounded off.

This freelance, 1099 role lets you work from home with flexible hours. Ideal candidates are fluent in English, have strong written communication, pay close attention to detail, and hold a Bachelor's degree or higher.

Qualifications

• Fluent English with clear written communication.
• Ability to explain, with evidence, what looked or sounded off.
• Comfort with reviewing AI-generated media and providing structured feedback.

Responsibilities

• Holding a live, scenario-based conversation in English with AI voice models, then ranking how natural, useful, and clear each sounded.
• Comparing pairs of AI-generated images and videos and judging which follows the prompt better.
• Inspecting outputs closely to spot problems like distorted anatomy, flickering or unnatural motion, text errors, and audio mismatch.
• Rating each output across dimensions like adherence, quality, and realism, then writing a clear explanation in English that points to what you saw or heard.
• Image evaluations: compare two AI-generated images for the same text prompt and pick the better one, judging instruction adherence and visual quality.
• Video evaluations: rank AI-generated videos against a text prompt or edited videos against the source clip.
• Video caption labeling: label first-person videos of people or robots doing tasks and write precise captions.
• Audio and voice evaluations: rate AI-generated speech on naturalness and pronunciation.
