We are seeking a highly motivated, self-driven AI Lead Engineer with strong expertise in Python, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and Agentic AI solutions. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader who can drive innovation, architect AI solutions, mentor teams, and effectively communicate with business and technology stakeholders. This role requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, proactively identifies opportunities, and delivers impactful AI-driven outcomes.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $110000-$125000/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML and Generative AI solutions.
• Architect scalable AI platforms leveraging LLMs, RAG frameworks, AI agents, and cloud-native services.
• Develop and optimize Python-based applications, APIs, and AI workflows.
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and architects to translate business problems into AI solutions.
• Drive innovation by evaluating emerging AI technologies, frameworks, and accelerators.
• Mentor and guide AI engineers, fostering technical excellence and best practices.
• Establish AI engineering standards, governance, and MLOps practices.
• Lead POCs, prototypes, and production implementations from concept to deployment.
• Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executives and clients.
• Contribute to solutioning, estimation, proposals, and client presentations.

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on expertise in Python.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Experience with OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or similar AI platforms.
