Job summary

Alignerr is seeking an Italian language expert to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on Italian content. You will shape how AI understands, generates, and teaches Italian for language-learning tools used worldwide.

Remote, hourly contract with a minimum 15 hours per week. You’ll work asynchronously with project leads, applying CEFR-informed language judgment and teaching experience to provide actionable feedback that enhances educational AI models.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Italian.
• Experience teaching Italian or evaluating learner language.
• Strong written communication skills in both Italian and English (C1/C2).
• Solid familiarity with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns.
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment.
• No prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated Italian speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality.
• Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+.
• Apply expert judgment to identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps.
• Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and culturally authentic Italian.
• Provide structured feedback that strengthens AI tutoring and language-learning models.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.
