Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a French Language Expert for AI Training to help evaluate and improve AI systems for French learners. Work is remote, asynchronous, with a minimum commitment of 15 hours per week.

You will assess AI-generated French speech and text, provide structured feedback, and collaborate with project leads. Native or near-native French, teaching or evaluation experience, and strong bilingual writing skills are required.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in French.
• Experience teaching French or evaluating learner language.
• Strong written communication in French and English (C1/C2).
• Familiar with CEFR proficiency frameworks.
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment.
• No prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated French speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality.
• Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+.
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps using expert judgment.
• Provide clear, structured feedback that improves AI tutoring and language-learning models.
• Suggest improvements for natural, idiomatic, and pedagogically sound French.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.

What You'll Do

Who You Are
