Job summary

Alignerr Corp. is seeking Chinese language experts to evaluate and improve AI systems for Chinese language learning. You will shape how AI understands, assesses, and communicates in Chinese to help learners worldwide.

The role is an hourly contract, fully remote, requiring a commitment of at least 15 hours per week and asynchronous collaboration with project leads. Prior AI experience is not required, and you will work with top researchers on cutting-edge language education projects.

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in Chinese.
• Experience teaching Chinese or evaluating learner language.
• Fluent in English (C1/C2).
• Familiar with CEFR frameworks and learner speech patterns.
• Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency in linguistic judgment.
• No prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated Chinese speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality.
• Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+.
• Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps with expert precision.
• Provide clear, structured feedback that directly improves AI tutoring and language-learning models.
• Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts.
• Contribute to raising the overall quality and reliability of AI language instruction.
