Job summary

Northeastern University’s AI Innovation Lab is seeking an Operations and Technology Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and the technology needs of the lab. You will manage internal software, infrastructure, and administrative systems supporting student projects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field with 2–5 years of business/tech experience and strong Python/SQL/Django experience, plus leadership and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Two to five years of business/tech experience.
• Experience developing applications using Python, SQL, and Django preferred.
• Knowledge of software development tools and processes.
• Strong written and oral communication and leadership skills; highly organized.
• Ability to multi-task and provide mentorship and leadership; strong system development skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Problem-solving and technical skills for complex operational and tech challenges.
• Proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders professionally and responsively.
• Support technical and non-technical requirements of the AI Innovation Lab.

Responsibilities

• Direct and lead technology support, especially AI tooling and software access for project work.
• Collaborate with product owners, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver full life-cycle solutions.
• Ensure budgets, timelines, and resources are allocated properly.
• Drive new development and planning for future software projects.
• Provide administrative and operational support to AI Innovation Lab and students.
