Job summary

Mercury is seeking a leader to own and evolve the internal knowledge infrastructure, building a trusted context layer and schemas that make information accurate and discoverable. You’ll partner with Engineering to design a scalable knowledge system and ensure it stays current for AI agents and leadership reporting.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration across product, design, data, compliance, and finance to standardize documentation and enable AI-powered decision-making.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in program or product operations or similar roles.
• Able to turn messy, distributed information into simple, scalable structures.
• Experience with APIs, data models, analytics, and tools like Linear, GitHub, Metabase.

Responsibilities

• Own Mercury's knowledge infrastructure: the trusted context layer that captures what every team owns, is building, and knows.
• Build the knowledge layer on top of Mercury's AI infrastructure by designing schemas, automations, and validation workflows.
• Own the reporting layer that turns shared context into operational insight (leadership reporting, roadmap views, planning dashboards).
• Drive company-wide adoption of standardized systems and practices across many teams to replace fragmented documentation with trusted sources of truth.
• Continuously improve how Mercury captures, organizes, and uses knowledge through better workflows and enabling tooling.
