Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Software Development Engineer II to join a high-velocity team building a groundbreaking customer experience. You will own core components end‑to‑end, design scalable backend services, and work on AI infrastructure that enables reliable, safe, and fast AI-powered features.

In this role, you will collaborate with AI coding assistants, review AI‑generated code, and maintain high engineering rigor while moving at speed across Alexa, Fire TV, and mobile surfaces.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience of new and existing systems.
• 1+ years of developing large‑scale distributed software applications.

Responsibilities

• Invent new paradigms beyond traditional UI for ambient intelligence.
• Prototype, test, and deploy features using multimodal inputs.
• Build and operate scalable backend services and libraries for AI/LLM features.
• Design and harden model providers, tools, and agent capabilities behind clean interfaces.
• Develop evaluation and regression tooling to ensure trustworthy AI behavior.
