Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Devices Software & Services team. You will design and ship core software for AI-driven features, ensuring reliability, safety, and performance at scale across Alexa, Fire TV, and wearable devices.

This role emphasizes hands-on engineering, rapid iteration, and collaboration with AI tooling. You will work in an AI-native development environment with automated testing and code review to maintain high quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• 3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of contributing to systems architecture and design.

Responsibilities

• Invent new paradigms for ambient intelligence across devices.
• Prototype and deploy features using multimodal inputs.
• Ensure cross-surface continuity of user experience.
• Design, build, test, and operate scalable backend services.
• Integrate model providers and tool capabilities behind stable interfaces.
• Develop evaluation tooling to measure and gate AI behavior.
