Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Executive Director to lead AI infrastructure and platform engineering. You will own the physical and platform layers of the enterprise AI compute stack, including GPU clusters, networking, storage, and orchestration.

The role requires building the Site Reliability Engineering practice and defining the long-term operating model for the AI infrastructure. You will recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team, establish baselines, and partner with Finance to govern

Qualifications

10+ years of engineering leadership in data-center-scale infrastructure.
Hands-on ownership of bare-metal Kubernetes or OpenShift.
Experience with high-speed fabrics (RoCE v2, InfiniBand).
Proven ability to deliver 24/7 operations and SRE practices.
Executive communication and budget ownership.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the long-range vision and strategy for AI infrastructure and platform engineering with high availability and performance as primary metrics.
Build and lead a multi-disciplinary team across infrastructure, network, and platform reliability, ensuring architectural rigor.
Oversee 24/7 operations, observability, change management, and cost governance for AI compute environments.
Ensure security/compliance posture across the stack, including HIPAA and NIST AI RMF alignment.
Drive the program transition from launch to permanent CVS-owned operations and establish a long-term operating model.
Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and budget ownership across hardware, networking, and managed services.
