Job summary

Anthropic seeks a Capacity Planning professional to own demand-driven tranche requirements and the end-to-end schedule for capacity across cloud regions, on-prem sites, and neoclouds. You will convert forecast data from research and inference planners into concrete regional and resource needs and drive negotiatons and reviews to ensure allocated capacity aligns with the forecast.

Qualifications

• Significant experience delivering large-scale infrastructure — cloud regions, accelerator clusters, HPC systems, or bare-metal fleets.
• Technical range from cluster orchestration to telemetry and planning tables on top.
• SQL and enough Python to answer questions and build reporting.
• A degree in a technical field or equivalent engineering track record.

Responsibilities

• Turn the forecast into per-tranche requirements for accelerator, interconnect, region, and date.
• Qualify tranches for deliverability before signature.
• Close the delivery loop by tracking forecast-versus-delivered across tranches.
• Own the bring-up system of record and define the canonical state machine for capacity data.
• Run a portfolio of bring-ups in parallel across cloud regions and on-prem sites.
• Instrument and publish key metrics like time-to-occupied and paid-idle dollars.
