Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation in Chantilly, Virginia, seeks an AI and Data Science/Big Data Mining Project Engineer to drive USG AI and HPC initiatives in a highly classified environment.

Lead high-impact AI/ML solutions, analyze performance, and translate research into mission-ready capabilities while collaborating with multiple USG partners and Aerospace offices. Requires TS/SCI clearance and US citizenship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, high-performance computing, AI, or related STEM field.
• 6 years of experience in AI/ML research, design, and implementation.
• Proficiency in Python, PyTorch, C and other languages.
• Software development including ML engineering, algorithm design, LLM deployment, and deep learning.
• Fluency in Linux and OS concepts; CUDA experience.
• Frontier AI development experience; GPU hardware knowledge.
• Requires Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with polygraph; US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Assess technology capabilities and risks for AI, ML, and advanced computing.
• Provide technical advice across architectures and acquisition portfolios.
• Coordinate with Aerospace experts and USG partners for end-to-end insights.
• Work onsite with customers and USG agencies to address issues and challenges.
• Deliver sound analyses and practitioner insights for decision-making.
