The role requires hands-on leadership with deep Web3 expertise, executive-level collaboration, and a drive to advance AI-first practices across teams in a fast-growing Web3 company.

Qualifications

• Progressive technology leadership experience in senior or executive roles.
• Proven track record in Web3, blockchain, or distributed systems.
• Experience shaping a large developer ecosystem, including standards and tooling.
• Strong experience contributing to executive strategy and board materials.
• Hands-on engineering leader with bias for delivery.

Responsibilities

• Define the future engineering strategy with the CEO.
• Own enterprise technology and architecture direction.
• Shape the developer ecosystem: standards, tooling, and working practices.
• AI-first engineering: embedding an agentic programming philosophy.
• Ensure roadmap is technically sound and resourced.
• Oversee venture viability and collaboration with IO Labs.
• Lead the technology function at enterprise level.
• Attract and develop world-class engineers via a Centre of Excellence.
• Manage enterprise budget for technology, infra, AI compute.
• Represent IOG to external partners and investors.
