Job summary

Alchemer is seeking a Staff Accountant to own accounts payable and support month-end close. You will use company-approved AI daily to rethink how work is done and participate in expanding AI fluency across the team.

You’ll report to the Corporate Controller and collaborate with the broader accounting and FP&A groups. This role emphasizes curiosity, learning, and growth beyond the job description.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of GAAP and reconciliations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with AI tools like Claude is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable end to end, including invoice processing and 1099s.
• Collaborate with budget owners to create and track purchase requests.
• Review expense reports and credit card transactions.
• Assist with month-end close, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Use AI tools to improve efficiency in AP and close processes.
• Identify and redesign manual processes using AI and automation.
• Assist with annual audit and tax returns, including acquisitions.
• Support FP&A with ad-hoc analyses.
