Perimeter, a global biosecurity infrastructure company, is seeking a Staff Full‑Stack Software Engineer for its BUILD team in Boston. You'll own production software spanning backend services, data pipelines, and web applications, emphasizing AI‑augmented development and deploy‑with‑confidence culture.

The role combines cross‑disciplinary collaboration with hands‑on coding across the stack, including Python, APIs, and scalable systems engineering for genomic, diagnostic, or epidemiological data

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years of professional software engineering experience with full‑stack focus.
• Strong Python backend development experience.
• Experience building and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Proven ability to design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines and testing gates.
• Experience with AI‑assisted development tools and modern software practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI‑first development initiatives to accelerate feature delivery and improve code quality.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional domain experts to design robust data pipelines and biosecurity workflows.
• Shape the technical roadmap and reduce architectural debt.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and security checks.
• Provide leadership in code reviews, documentation, observability, and long‑term maintainability.
• Support production systems with monitoring, troubleshooting, and on‑call readiness.
