Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a seasoned Strategy Leader to direct product strategy for enterprise AI and cloud platforms. You will guide initiatives from internal capabilities to standalone offerings, shape investment theses, and work with senior executives.

You will build frameworks for build-buy-partner decisions, size markets, and expand strategies into European markets, leading a team of strategists and researchers in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Qualifications

12+ years of experience spanning product management, product strategy, technology strategy, or innovation roles.
Preferably experience at an enterprise software or cloud platform company.
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams of 3 or more strategists, researchers, or product managers.
Deep working knowledge of AI and machine learning architectures, including agentic systems, LLM-based applications, and AI integration patterns within enterprise platforms.
Strong understanding of systems of record, data platforms, and enterprise application architectures.
Fluency in evaluating productization strategies, including open source, proprietary, platform-native, and standalone go-to-market models.
Experience participating in or supporting M&A strategy, including acquisition thesis development, integration planning, or build-buy-partner evaluation.
Ability to structure and communicate complex strategic analyses for senior executive audiences.
Comfort operating in ambiguous contexts requiring intellectual rigor and creative hypothesis generation.
Experience in product strategy or innovation at an AI-first company, enterprise platform vendor, or technology-focused management consulting firm is an advantage.
Familiarity with agentic coding tools, developer platform ecosystems, and AI-assisted software development is an advantage.
Knowledge of supply chain, operations, or vertical AI automation is an advantage.
MBA, MS, or equivalent advanced degree in a relevant discipline is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

Lead product strategy for forward-looking innovation, whitespace identification, and productization planning across Salesforce's AI and platform portfolio.
Drive strategy for emerging offerings moving from internal capabilities to standalone or platform-integrated products.
Own and evolve frameworks for build-buy-partner decisions and acquired-technology integration.
Identify and assess market shifts and translate them into actionable investment recommendations.
Partner with the SVP to identify strategic gaps across the product portfolio.
Synthesize inputs from engineering, product management, research, M&A, and external sources into evidence-based strategic viewpoints.
Perform quantitative and competitive analytics to size markets and assess competitive positioning.
Partner with regional leadership to expand the product strategy footprint into European markets.
Evaluate productization models including open source, platform-bundled, standalone SaaS, and API-first approaches.
Monitor venture investment trends, startup ecosystem signals, and technical research.
Present strategic recommendations to the SVP and cross-functional executives.
Build and mentor a high-performing strategy team and establish processes for horizon scanning and opportunity assessment.
