Job summary

Mailchimp seeks a Principal Product Manager to define and lead the AI-powered API platform, developer portal, and MCP experiences for a thriving third-party ecosystem. You will own strategy, execution, and partner alignment to deliver scalable APIs, secure OAuth workflows, and developer tools across multiple geographies.

You will drive a federated platform architecture, oversee SDK/CLI generation, and advance agentic access while partnering with Partnerships, Security, and GTM to maximize

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience building platforms and APIs at scale.
• Deep understanding of AI technologies (agentic systems, LLMs, MCP) and API/developer-platform architectures (REST/OpenAPI, OAuth 2.0, scopes, rate limiting, webhooks, versioning)
• Hands-on experience shipping MCP servers or equivalent agent-callable interfaces, or equivalent docs-as-code artifacts

Responsibilities

• Define and lead a multi-year vision and strategy for Mailchimp’s public API platform, developer portal, and MCP server.
• Own the four pillars of the developer-ecosystem strategy: Federated API Platform, Best-in-Class Developer Experience, Third-Party App Lifecycle Management, and Trust & Governance.
• Collaborate with Partnerships, Engineering, and GTM to ship third-party integrations and map data objects/events to customer outcomes.
• Translate vision into an execution roadmap with measurable outcomes aligned to FY27 priorities.
• Lead developer-portal modernization including interactive docs, SDKs, CLI, and MCP tooling.
