Job summary

Leidos is seeking AI Software Developers at Jr, Mid, and Senior levels to design and implement microservices within the L-CAP platform, operating in an Agile/SAFe environment with AI-enabled capabilities. A Public Trust clearance is required for government work, and U.S.

citizenship is mandatory. You will collaborate across engineering, product delivery, and DevSecOps teams to deliver scalable software for national air traffic operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years for Junior level, 4+ years for Mid level, 8+ years for Senior level (as applicable).
• Proficiency in Java or C++ with production software experience.
• Experience with microservices-based architectures and RESTful APIs.
• Distributed systems and event-driven architectures familiarity.
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Relational (PostgreSQL/Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra) databases.
• GIT and collaborative development workflows; Agile/SAFe familiarity.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; U.S. citizenship required; background investigations completed.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop microservices for the L-CAP automation platform.
• Collaborate with architects to translate designs into scalable implementations.
• Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations in a hybrid cloud data mesh.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases ensuring data integrity.
• Perform performance tuning for distributed services and conduct code reviews.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance.
• Triage and resolve cross-service issues and infrastructure challenges.
• Contribute to design docs, API specs, and runbooks.
