Job summary

Leidos is seeking AI Software Developers (Jr, Mid, Senior) to design and implement microservices within an Agile/SAFe environment for the L-CAP platform. The role emphasizes AI-enabled or data-driven systems and requires ability to obtain a Public Trust.

Hybrid work is available: 3 days onsite and 2 days remote for commutable distances; otherwise, 100% remote may be considered. Candidates will collaborate across DevSecOps, product delivery, and systems engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• Master's degree will account for 2 additional years of experience.
• Experience with Java or C++ in production software.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs and distributed architectures.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust; US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop microservices forming the backbone of the L-CAP platform.
• Collaborate with architects to translate designs into robust implementations.
• Implement RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations in a hybrid cloud data mesh.
• Tune performance of distributed services and ensure data consistency across databases.
• Lead code reviews and mentor junior developers; support SAFe ceremonies.
