Job summary

Vibe.co in New York City is seeking an AI-first engineering leader to shape how developers work on our streaming TV advertising platform. You’ll lead the shift toward AI-centered engineering, defining tooling, workflows, and culture that accelerates delivery.

You will own the developer experience, security practices, and tooling strategy, partnering with product to ship impactful improvements the team actually uses. This role offers hybrid work and high-visibility impact.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a platform or developer experience engineer in a fast-moving product company.
• Deep familiarity with AI coding tools — actively used, not just dabbed.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or TypeScript to understand and improve codebases.
• Experience owning developer tooling end-to-end: CI/CD, GitHub workflows, local dev environments.
• Track record of shipping improvements that engineers actually adopt.

Responsibilities

• Set the AI-first engineering standard across the org and roll out strategy.
• Own adoption of coding agents and AI tooling to boost engineering velocity.
• Maintain and evolve the core developer tooling stack and ensure lean tooling set.
• Raise security bar by embedding best practices without slowing engineers.
