Job summary

Vibe seeks an AI Lead for Developer Experience to shape an AI-first engineering workflow and manage the core tooling stack used across the engineering org. You will lead adoption of AI coding agents and tooling to boost velocity, onboarding, and security, driving measurable improvements across teams.

You will define and maintain the AI-centric developer lifecycle, collaborate with CI/CD, GitHub, and local dev environments, and ensure security is embedded early in the process.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a platform or developer experience engineer in a fast-moving product company.
• Deep familiarity with AI coding tools and active use of AI-assisted development workflows.
• Proficiency in Go, Rust, or TypeScript sufficient to understand and improve codebases.
• Experience owning developer tooling end-to-end: CI/CD, GitHub workflows, and local dev environments.

• Define and roll out Vibe’s AI-assisted development strategy across the engineering org.
• Own adoption of coding agents and AI tooling and drive measurable gains in engineering velocity.
• Identify friction points, run experiments, and prove where AI can remove friction.
• Maintain and evolve core developer tooling across GitHub, CI/CD, and local development environments.
• Reduce time-to-first-commit for new engineers and time-to-ship for the team; keep the stack lean.
• Own the AI-centric golden path for Vibe’s software development lifecycle.
• Own security tooling and best practices; embed security into the development workflow and drive early remediation of risks.
• Define and track metrics for developer experience and report to engineering leadership.
• Treat the engineering team as your customer: gather feedback, evangelize best practices, and iterate on tooling and workflow.

As Vibe’s AI Lead for Developer Experience, you’ll define and implement an AI-first developer workflow and own the core developer tooling stack used across the engineering org. You will drive adoption of AI coding agents and tools, remove friction from the development lifecycle, raise security standards, and measure engineering efficiency so every engineer ships faster and safer.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and roll out Vibe’s AI-assisted development strategy across the engineering org.
• Own adoption of coding agents and AI tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, MCP) and drive measurable gains in engineering velocity.
• Identify friction points, run experiments, and prove where AI can remove friction.
• Maintain and evolve core developer tooling across GitHub, CI/CD, and local development environments.
• Reduce time-to-first-commit for new engineers and time-to-ship for the team; keep the stack lean.
• Own the AI-centric golden path for Vibe’s software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Hands‑on experience as a platform or developer experience engineer in a fast‑moving product company.
• Deep familiarity with AI coding tools and active use of AI‑assisted development workflows.
• Proficiency in at least one of Go, Rust, or TypeScript sufficient to understand and improve codebases.
• Experience owning developer tooling end‑to‑end: CI/CD, GitHub workflows, and local dev environments.
• Proven track record of shipping tooling and process improvements that engineers adopt.

Nice to Haves

• Experience at a high‑growth startup where you built foundations before scaling.
• Exposure to security tooling and secure development practices.
• Familiarity with streaming TV, CTV, or ad infrastructure.
