Job summary

Tulip is seeking a seasoned software engineer to build and scale an internal agentic AI platform for engineers, delivering tools, MCP servers, and integrations across our tech stack. You will drive architecture, onboarding, and adoption of AI tooling within a collaborative, security-minded team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally with a focus on developer tooling, platform engineering, or internal-facing/DevX systems.
• Meaningful hands-on experience building with AI/LLMs and shipping agentic solutions.
• Proven ability to build internal tools that make powerful AI capabilities accessible to engineers, including the judgment to know when to build vs. buy.
• A natural collaborator who earns trust with engineers quickly and co-creates solutions that get adopted.
• Strong full-stack proficiency (TypeScript) and API design/integration experience.
• Deep hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, RAG, and tool-use patterns.
• Production experience with AWS, CI/CD, and AI safety considerations around code execution.
• Experience with developer experience fundamentals: reducing friction and treating tooling like a product.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams to identify high-leverage AI opportunities in the developer workflow.
• Build and maintain the internal agentic AI platform (skills, MCP servers, integrations across our stack).
• Own architecture and standards for agent/model release evaluation, deployment, reliability, and secure tool access patterns.
• Improve onboarding, documentation, and discovery for engineers to find AI tools.
• Stay plugged into agentic AI and developer-tooling trends to shape internal standards.
• Contribute to AI enablement programs, office hours, and change management.
• Instrument adoption and impact, guiding what to build next.
