Job summary

Tulip, the leader in AI-native frontline operations, is seeking a senior engineer to build and own the internal agentic AI platform and tooling used by our engineers daily. You will collaborate with product engineering, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to ship scalable AI capabilities, improve developer experience, and drive adoption across the organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, ideally focused on developer tooling, platform engineering, or internal-facing/DevX systems.
• Meaningful hands-on experience building with AI/LLMs and shipping agentic solutions.
• Proven ability to build internal tools that make powerful AI capabilities accessible to engineers.
• Natural collaborator who earns trust with engineers and co-creates adopted solutions.
• Strong full-stack proficiency (TypeScript), API design, and modern engineering stack.
• Deep hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks, RAG, and tool-use patterns.
• Production experience with AWS, CI/CD, and AI safety/security.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineering teams to identify high-leverage AI opportunities in the developer workflow.
• Build and maintain the internal agentic AI platform including skills, plugins, MCP servers, and integrations across the stack.
• Own foundational architecture and standards for evaluating and deploying agents and model releases, ensuring reliability and secure tool access.
• Develop onboarding, documentation, and discovery layers to help engineers find and adopt AI tools.
• Stay plugged into agentic AI trends to shape internal standards and roadmap decisions.
• Contribute to AI enablement programs, office hours, and change management for new tools.
• Measure adoption and impact of internal AI tooling to inform what to build next.
