Job summary

Tulip is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to build and mentor a senior software team delivering web-enabled SaaS apps. This hybrid role requires guiding cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and customer teams to ship high-quality AI-enabled features.

Ideal candidates have 5-7+ years in SaaS engineering, 2-3+ years in people leadership, and hands-on experience with multicloud deployments, testing, and AI integration. Competitive compensation and equity offered.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of SaaS software engineering experience
• 2-3+ years in people management leading a software team
• Hands-on experience with cross-functional team leadership
• Strong understanding of testing and deploying systems in multicloud / multitenant environments
• Experience architecting systems that integrate agentic and generative AI capabilities
• Familiarity with our tech stack - including Typescript, React, Redux, Node.js, Golang, MongoDB, Postgres, and Docker

Responsibilities

• Hire, mentor, and grow a senior team capable of operating with high autonomy and quality from day one
• Establish engineering standards: testing, observability, AI-driven development practices for the team
• Collaborate deeply with product and design as a product threaded team, with shared ownership of outcomes
• Cultivate an AI-first development culture and continuously raise the bar on velocity and quality
