Cohere is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team developing full-stack applications focused on the pharmaceutical industry. This role involves close collaboration with product managers and ML engineers to ensure best-in-class application delivery while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in building and maintaining AI-first products and will be responsible for mentoring engineers and driving technical decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience managing engineering teams and conflict resolution.
• Ability to deliver high-quality software.
• Have built, shipped, and maintained AI-first applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage backend and frontend engineers, ensuring predictable delivery.
• Act as the primary interface between Product and Engineering teams.
• Transform product requirements into a technical roadmap.

Skills

Experience working with non-technical product managers

Managing engineering teams

Building and maintaining production-ready applications

Strong coding skills across the stack

Deploying cloud-based and on-prem applications

Excellent communication skills in English
