Job summary

Per Scholas is seeking an industry-experienced Low-Voltage Fiber Technician Instructor to deliver hands-on training preparing entry-level learners for fiber, copper cabling, data center, and security system careers in a safety-conscious lab environment.

You will lead labs, assess progress, and guide learners toward certifications (CFOT, OSHA 10, NFPA 70E), using AI-enabled tools and workplace simulations to mirror real job sites.

Qualifications

• CFOT certification preferred; OSHA 10 required or to be secured onboarding.
• NFPA 70E Electrical Safety training required or to be secured onboarding.
• ServiceNow/ITSM familiarity preferred; onboarding training required.
• Low-voltage, fiber optic, telecom, electrical, security, or data center credentials are a plus.
• Corporate trainer or instructional experience is desirable.
• OSHA certification and on-site safety regulations knowledge is expected.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led training for UCI 1019: AI-Enhanced Low-Voltage Fiber Technician.
• Lead hands-on labs for copper and fiber cabling, testing, and documentation.
• Teach OSI model concepts and basic network fundamentals for physical infrastructure.
• Provide safety instruction and prep for OSHA 10 and NFPA 70E requirements.
• Support learners through labs, simulations, quizzes, and certification prep.
• Maintain learner records in LMS and other required platforms.
