Job summary

Per Scholas is seeking an industry-experienced Low Voltage Instructor to deliver hands-on training for entry-level learners in fiber optic and low-voltage systems. You will lead labs, model jobsite safety, and guide students toward certification readiness.

The role emphasizes fire-alarm, CCTV, and network cabling knowledge, with opportunities to integrate AI tools for troubleshooting and documentation. In-person or hybrid teaching in a dynamic, mission-driven environment is expected.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of teaching, training, mentoring, or technical facilitation preferred.
• Ability to teach adult learners with clear explanations and guided practice.
• Strong classroom and lab management, safety, and hands-on practice.
• Experience using Canvas LMS, Zoom, Slack, and Office 365 is a plus.
• Willingness to use AI-enabled tools for instructional support and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instructor-led training for low-voltage fiber technician topics and labs.
• Facilitate daily hands-on labs in copper/fiber cabling, testing, and documentation.
• Teach industry standards, patch panels, testing equipment, and safety practices.
• Lead OSHA 10 and NFPA 70E safety readiness within labs and field simulations.
• Coach small groups, track learner progress, and document outcomes.
