Job summary

Canon USA is seeking an Instructional Designer Specialist to craft performance-based learning for new product launches and strategic initiatives. You’ll lead design of microlearning, web-based training, and instructor-led programs for the sales force, using Articulate 360 and AI-enabled approaches.

The role requires 3–5 years of corporate instructional design experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and the ability to travel up to 25%. Hybrid work in Irvine, CA is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 3–5 years of instructional design experience in a corporate environment.
• Experience in designing instructor-led training and facilitator guides.

Responsibilities

• Conduct needs assessments to identify performance gaps and define course goals.
• Design and develop AI-enhanced learning experiences using adult learning principles and instructional design models to personalize content, automate workflows, and optimize learner engagement.
• Create content using Articulate 360 and Synthesia, including microlearning, eLearning, and instructor-led materials such as instructor guides and student guides.
• Collaborate with SMEs to gather content, clarify technical details, and ensure timely input throughout the design and development process.
• Manage multiple projects using project management best practices.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and drive continuous improvement of learning solutions.
• Stay current with trends in instructional design, learning technologies, and print solutions.
• Complete control documents and maintain records per departmental standards.
