Job summary

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay invites applications for an Instructional Designer within the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning (CATL). You will partner with faculty to design, implement, and assess evidence-based teaching innovations, including AI-enhanced tools and Canvas-based courses.

The role supports new faculty orientation and communities of practice, emphasizing equity, universal design, and pedagogy. Requires a bachelor’s degree; master’s or PhD preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree at time of application.
• At least one year of experience in higher education.
• Understanding of instructional design, pedagogy and/or andragogy.
• Experience or knowledge of AI and its impact on education.

Responsibilities

• Collects, organizes, interprets, and disseminates data to identify instructional program needs and enhance effectiveness.
• Advises and supports groups on program-level curricular design and development with expertise in pedagogy and learning technology.
• Designs, develops, and delivers faculty development and engagement programs (e.g., Canvas-based courses, communities of practice).
• Promotes evidence-based pedagogies across instructional modalities with a focus on equity and universal design.
• Participates in SoTL or program evaluation research when possible.
