Job summary

Parachute Health is seeking a Director of AI Engineering to lead a small pod of engineers embedding with business units, delivering AI-first solutions that improve throughput and operational leverage. This role is hands-on, not advisory, and requires building production-grade AI systems from scoping to deployment.

You will own the AI automation roadmap, drive practical, measurable impact, and influence tooling decisions across the company for scalable, efficient AI transformations.

Qualifications

• You understand system design, deployment, APIs, data flow, and the full SDLC.
• Hands-on experience building and deploying AI-powered systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy end-to-end AI solutions.
• Own the AI automation roadmap across internal operations.
• Lead and coach a 2-4 engineer pod while staying hands-on.
• Turn problems into scalable AI-first systems.
• Scout tooling frontier and influence model/orchestration choices.
