Job summary

Slalom is seeking engineers for its AI Engineering Academy, a structured program to develop AI-native delivery skills across cloud, data, and software engineering. You will be deployed to client engagements after completing four weeks of immersive training and will work with Cloud-Build and Data teams across Slalom's Americas organization.

You’ll grow in a collaborative, client-focused environment, using AI copilots and modern tooling to accelerate learning and delivery.

Qualifications

• Exposure to software development in modern languages (Python, TypeScript, Java, .NET).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Basic understanding of data concepts — databases, pipelines, analytics.
• Awareness of software quality principles — testing, debugging, automation.
• Academic background and/or experience with AI/ML, GenAI tooling, or intelligent systems.
• Demonstrated certification in AWS, Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, or Anthropic.

Responsibilities

• Write high-quality application code, data pipelines, or infrastructure-as-code for cloud-based ecosystems using AI-assisted tooling.
• Own the build and verification of software components at unit and integration levels with automated testing.
• Contribute to data platform delivery including cloud data warehouses, streaming systems, and AI-accelerated pipelines.
• Configure and maintain cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling.
• Drive quality engineering practices with test planning, automation, and defect management.
• Partner with senior engineers, architects, and client stakeholders in cross-functional teams.
• Share knowledge with the broader engineering community through internal forums.
