Job summary

Slalom is seeking a Data Engineer to design and implement data platform solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud platforms. You will work in collaborative teams to deliver scalable data products and contribute to AI-accelerated data engineering initiatives.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years of hands-on data engineering experience, strong knowledge of cloud data warehouses, and proficiency in Python and Java. This role is based in Raleigh with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

4+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing data engineering solutions in production environments.
Familiarity with modern data technologies and cloud data platforms.
Experience with streaming/real-time data and data architectures.
Proficiency in Python and Java.

Responsibilities

Designing and implementing components of clients’ data platform solutions under guidance of a Solution Architect.
Translating complex requirements into actionable development tasks during design sessions.
Ensuring timely, high-quality delivery of development items for yourself and the data engineers you support.
Building solutions using cloud data warehouses, distributed processing engines, and event streaming platforms.
Collaborating across data engineering disciplines including streaming, modern data platforms, and AI-accelerated data engineering.
