Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an AI Engineering Analyst in Illinois to scale agentic statistical programming (Helix) and deliver AI-driven solutions across therapeutic areas. You will work with statisticians, data scientists, and business teams to design, build, and deploy AI workflows and automation.

The role focuses on testing, system design, and scaling capabilities, with long-term emphasis on expanding AI platforms, co-pilots, and data pipelines using AbbVie enterprise frameworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in statistics, mathematics, analytics, bioinformatics, data science, computer science with 4+ years (BS), 2+ years (MS) or 1+ years (PhD) of related experience
• 1+ year experience building production-grade AI solutions with LangGraph, LangChain, Strands Agents, etc.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python, R, Scala, C, C++, C#, Swift/Objective C, or JavaScript
• End-to-end data experience: querying, aggregation, analysis, visualization

Responsibilities

• Build production-grade AI solutions including agent platforms, AI co-pilots, and data pipelines
• Collaborate with Statisticians & Data Scientists to enable streamlined data flow
• Evaluate foundation models, agent architectures, and AI workflows for reliability and cost
• Operate, monitor, and improve production AI solutions focusing on quality and outcomes
• Develop architectures to support AI & Analytics projects within Clinical Development
• Create data products and service processes for data transformation and workflow management
• Implement automated operational and quality control processes for data and reporting
• Adhere to coding/testing best practices and reusable components
• Discover and evaluate new tools and techniques to improve data pipelines
• Develop data set processes for data modeling, mining and production
