Job summary

Scion Technology is seeking an experienced AI Engineer for a full-time hybrid role in North Reading, MA. You will design, train, and deploy deep learning models for production robotics, with ownership across the full lifecycle and integration into ROS2-based systems.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in AI/ML with computer vision focus and experience bringing models from training to production, plus data pipelines and rigorous evaluation practices. Relocation assistance may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in CS/EE/Robotics/ML or related field.
• 5+ years building and deploying deep learning models with computer vision focus.
• Production deployment experience from training to live usage.
• Experience with ML data pipelines and dataset versioning.
• Rigorous model evaluation and experimentation tracking.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy deep learning models for production robotics.
• Own features end-to-end from problem understanding to deployment.
• Evaluate models with rigorous metrics and analysis of training iterations.
• Work across sensor modalities including RGBD and LiDAR.
• Leverage simulation tools like NVIDIA Isaac Sim for data generation.
• Integrate AI components into the ROS2 robotics stack with production-grade code.
