Qualifications

• BS degree in a technical field with robotics focus or related sciences.
• 0–2 years in robotics or autonomous systems in academic or industry settings.
• Proficiency in Python and/or C++ for robotics; hands-on hardware experience.
• Experience with ROS/ROS2 and Linux; familiarity with Git.
• Foundational AI/ML knowledge for perception, planning, control.
• US citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate AI/ML models on robotic platforms for perception, navigation, and decision-making.
• Integrate, calibrate, and troubleshoot sensors to support localization and mapping.
• Apply sensor fusion and state estimation for reliability in dynamic environments.
• Write production-quality code in Python and/or C++ within ROS/ROS2 and Linux.
• Build and validate perception and autonomy pipelines in simulation and deploy to hardware.
• Deploy and optimize AI models on edge computing platforms for real-time inference.
• Conduct field testing and resolve hardware-software integration issues.
• Contribute to rapid prototyping supporting IRAD and mission timelines.
• Collaborate across disciplines to translate requirements into working solutions.
• Document designs and testing to support reproducibility.
• Support research proposals and present technical findings.
