Job summary

Aperio Global is seeking AI Engineers (SWE2 and SWE3) to support the AI & Emerging Technologies mission at Fort Meade, MD. Candidates will work with stakeholders to capture requirements, plan, and improve certification by introducing AI/ML tooling, including fine-tuning LLMs for vulnerability identification.

Requirements include U.S. Citizenship, active TS/SCI plus Polygraph, Bachelor's plus 5 years (SWE2) or 8 years (SWE3), and proficiency in Python, LLM integration, and data engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years (SWE2) or 8 years (SWE3) of relevant experience, or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Python, LLM integration, and data engineering.
• Experience with static analyzers and RAG frameworks.
• Experience with both relational and vector databases.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Git, Jira, and Confluence.
• Active TS/SCI + Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain LLM orchestration frameworks coordinating analyzers, RAG systems, and testing pipelines.
• Develop and optimize data preprocessing pipelines for ingestion, cleaning, transformation, and vectorization for LLMs.
• Design and implement database solutions to support RAG architectures, artifact storage, audit trails, and metadata management.
• Collaborate with systems engineers to deploy AI tools within secure enclaves.
• Perform performance profiling, optimization, and scalability analysis of mission systems.
