Cook Inc - Bloomington’s Global IT team invites applications for a 12-week Information Technology Intern, Artificial Intelligence in Bloomington, IN. The program offers hands-on AI work on real problems within a global medical device company, with an assigned mentor and capstone presentation.

The internship is onsite (Bloomington/Spencer/Ellettsville) from mid-May to mid-August, includes 401(k) options, housing stipend, and intern events.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch or similar.
• Basic understanding of machine learning algorithms, neural networks, and deep learning concepts.
• Familiarity with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and data analysis.
• Motivated self-starter with problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in AI field.
• Strong communication skills and ability to convey complex concepts.
• Interest in Life Sciences and ability to work with others.
• Candidates should be students entering their Junior or Senior year or graduate students.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred.
• Proof of enrollment required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical experience and contribute to AI projects in IT.
• Automate critical processes with AI-driven automation that moves to production.
• Prototype and apply AI across IT capabilities to improve service delivery.
• Pair AI with Cook's data estate to deliver insights used in daily decisions.
